Dear Members of the Ramjas family and esteemed readers,
नवा कान्ति: नवोत्साहो नवा द्रयुति: नवा प्रभा । नवं बलं नवोद्योग: समेध्यन्तु व: श्रीयम् ।।
With immense pride and a sense of profound satisfaction, I want to address the cherished members of the Ramjas family and our readers. The aforesaid Sanskrit verse aptly resonates with the spirit that defines our journey at Ramjas College—a journey marked by new radiance, enthusiasm, capabilities, and progress in every dimension. From its inception in 1917 by the visionary Lala Rai Kedarnath Ji, our institution has been steadfast in its commitment in shaping the young minds and contributing significantly for the educational landscape of our society & nation.
Ramjas College stands as a beacon of quality in higher education nurturing a rich legacy having indelible footprints under the patronage of the great Mahatma Gandhi, Bharat Ratna B R Ambedkar and many renowned personalities/ freedom-fighters. Distinguishably catering the diverse academic aspirations, the college has consistently been shaping and empowering its students, inculcating high order thinking skills in them, propelling them for attaining optimum mental and physical health, assiduous attitude for their inclusive growth & achieving excellence in various spheres of life. This reputation positions Ramjas as a preferred destination for those seeking an education that transcends the ordinary.
As we embark on the academic year 2024-25, I extend my heartfelt greetings to each member of the Ramjas family. Our collective journey is marked by historical milestones having been reflected in our students widely recognised and highly acclaimed achievements in numerous fields including- sports, arts and culture, academics, scientific research, politics, higher bureaucracy, cinema etc.
This commitment is reflected in our various significant achievements, including the successful implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and the recruitment of 148 permanent Assistant Professors.
The recent years have been remarkable, with the college's focus on imbibing and implementing the guiding principles of NEP 2020. In alignment with the visionary NEP, Ramjas is actively reimagining education to revive India's ancient tradition of holistic and vibrant multidisciplinary learning. We are committed to implementing the principles of this policy through meticulous planning and a multidimensional requisite approach which involves adopting more interdisciplinary courses, prioritizing the amalgamation of traditional wisdom with modern skills and technologies. This signifies that our goal is not only to impart knowledge but to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and a sense of social responsibility anchored in humanistic values among our students. This forward-looking vision and approach set the Ramjas College as a potential force in education capable of transforming students from consumers to producers of knowledge and meeting the demands of a rapidly changing global scenario.
We with our tireless endeavours are on the path of achieving the prestigious A++ grade under NAAC accreditation, for attaining excellence in education, research, and extracurricular activities. The dedication and unwavering commitment of our highly qualified and learned faculties is one of the cornerstones of our institution. They are committed, doing well for achieving the aforementioned well defined objectives by promoting the congenial and wholistic atmosphere through suitable exposures, innovative methods, development of multidimensional wisdom and skills among the students. Further regular seminars, workshops, and training programs befittingly ensures that our classrooms are dynamic spaces, keeping students abreast of the latest pedagogical trends and technological advancements.
Looking ahead, our vision is highly ambitious yet grounded to achieve excellence, making the Ramjas college as an epitome of esteemed standing in the area of higher education and for meeting the envisaged goals in the larger interests of students making them disciplined and responsible citizens. We aspire to be among the top ten colleges of the country recognized for academic rigor, research contributions, and holistic development. This would be suitably achieved with focus on multidimensional approach, informative and innovative content and meeting the operational requirements in best way across all academic and non-academic realms.
